Heat does most of the damage. Months of high under-bonnet temperatures, short hops along Jumeirah Beach Road and long spells parked outside wear a Isuzu battery down faster than it would in a cooler climate, and the weakness tends to show up in summer.
The D-Max and MU-X take conventional batteries, and their diesel engines need a healthy one to crank reliably. Many Isuzu trucks run a 24V system on two batteries, which are replaced as a matched pair and must never be jumped from a 12V car.
We regularly replace batteries in the D-Max, MU-X, N-Series, and F-Series. Whichever Isuzu you drive, the technician tests the old battery first, confirms the correct size and type for your car, then fits and checks the new one while you watch.
